The top ten seaside destinations for Railcard holders are revealed!
Millions of savvy Railcard holders are saving almost £600million a year – £150 each on average – on train trips up and down Britain, as their favourite summer haunts are revealed.
Four million Railcard customers* - who get up to a third off most train fares including cheaper Advance tickets - made more than 130million journeys last year, 16 return trips each on average.
And Railcard customers do love to be beside the seaside. Brighton, Blackpool and Bournemouth are expected to be the most popular resorts this summer as they pack their Railcards along with the picnics, buckets and spades.
In July and August last year the top ten seaside destinations for Railcard customers, according to analysis by the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) which brings train companies together to improve the railway, were:

4. Southend-on-Sea
5. Ramsgate
6. Scarborough
7. Eastbourne
8. Skegness
9. Colwyn Bay
10. Bridlington
