This summer stay cool with this list of the best outdoor pools in Britain. Just hop on a train and head to your favourite summer destination, with a Railcard you can have your relaxing day out for a whole lot less. With a Railcard you could save 1/3 off adult fares which leaves you with a little extra cash in your pocket to spend poolside.


1. Bude Sea Pool, Cornwall

This gorgeous, partially man-made, swimming pool is tucked away on a beach in North Cornwall. Now managed by Friends of the Bude Sea Pool, a not-for-profit charity, this outdoor pool is the perfect hybrid of indoor and outdoor luxury which is topped up by the Atlantic Ocean during high tide. 

Cost: Free (but donations are welcome)

2. Lymington Sea Water Baths, Lymington

Perfect for cooling off with the family on a hot day, this sea water bath is a great value day out. Crash through inflatable obstacle courses, let the kids roam free in the splash pool and get competitive with some aqua jousting.

Cost: All day adults £3; All day child £2.00

3. St Brides Spa, Wales

Just around the corner from Pembrokeshire National Park, St Brides Spa Hotel is the perfect place for a very nautical weekend getaway. Book a stay here and indulge with a dip in their gorgeous infinity pool.

4. The Berkeley Hotel, London

The Berkeley is located in Knightsbridge, just across from Hyde Park. Since opening in 1897, it has always remained one step ahead of the curve. Its rooftop pool, which was only one of a handful when it first opened in the 70s, is still a hotspot for elites today. Advertised as a perfect place to escape the London buzz this seventh-floor haven is sure to deliver.
