The Family & Friends Railcard

Costing just £26, the Family & Friends Railcard saves you 1/3 off adult and 60% off kids’ fares across Britain for a year. So you’re paying around £2 a month for some epic savings. If you travel with a child between five and 15 years old then you’re eligible.

Using your Railcard

With your Railcard, you’ll save on both long and short trips. Better still, you can use it anytime on weekends, Public Holidays and during the week. However, you won’t be able to get a Railcard discount when travelling in the peak time Monday to Friday within London and the South East (except Bank Holidays).

The times of morning off-peak services do vary by route, so it’s best to check with ticket office staff before buying your tickets. If you travel regularly before 10am within London and the South East, a weekly or monthly season ticket may be more appropriate for you.

The savings

Your Family & Friends Railcard will save you 1/3 off adult fares and 60% off kids’ fares on loads of tickets, including all Standard Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance fares across the National Rail network.

New 3-year Railcard

Now you can also buy a 3-year Family & Friends Railcard, available only online. It’s great value at £65, saving you an extra £13 on the cost of renewing your 1-year Railcard for three consecutive years.
