Where to buy
Save yourself time by buying your Family & Friends Railcard online. All you need are:
- Your address and email address
- Name of second cardholder (as this cannot be added later)
- A debit or credit card
What happens next
We aim to dispatch your Railcard within one working day of your order, however we advise you to allow five working days for your Railcard to reach you. It will be dispatched free of charge by First Class post, but you also have the option to pay for Special Delivery. Providing you have placed your order before 1600hrs this will guarantee that your Railcard is delivered within two days (Sunday to Thursday) or three days (Friday to Saturday).
You’ll need your actual Railcard with you to be able to get a discount on your rail ticket, so please leave enough time before your journey for it to reach you. If you need to travel straightaway then you will have to buy a Railcard over the counter at your local staffed station.
Just call our telesales service on 0844 871 4036 (0700-2200 every day, except Christmas Day. Calls are charged at the national rate).
At a staffed station ticket office
You can buy your Railcard at any staffed station ticket office and some National Rail-licensed Travel Agent. You can do this on the day you are travelling. To save time, it’s a good idea to fill in the application form before you get there.
Once you've bought your Railcard at a station, you can then register it online. This will make it easier for you to renew or buy other cards online.
We’re sorry but Railcards can’t usually be bought at stations operated by London Underground but which also service some National Rail routes. The exceptions are: Harrow & Wealdstone, Kenton, South Kenton, North Wembley, Wembley Central, Stonebridge Park, Harlesden, Kensal Green Queens Park, Gunnersbury and Kew Gardens.
